In P4 we have been enjoying our World War II project. Before half term the children built a
Morrison Shelter in the classroom so they could experience what it was like to
stay inside a cage. During World War II
people would sleep in these during the bombing raids if their garden wasn’t big
enough for an Anderson Shelter.
We also made some wonderful Blitz pictures. The children mixed colours to create their
fire background then added silhouette buildings and search lights.
Thank you to all the parents who helped their children
complete some really informative, well researched and presented homework. It’s been great to hear the children share
some of their families’ stories and talk so enthusiastically about the topic.
