During the week before half term, all the classes had been estimating how many
jellybeans were in a jar. They looked at the book ‘How Many Jelly Beans?’ and
discussed different ways to estimate. Everyone had great fun looking at the jar
and talking about the possibilities. Many children (and adults!) were surprised
to find out just how many jelly beans there were in the jar! Several classes were
very close with their estimates, but the closest, with an estimate of 424, was E5/6.
They won the jar of jelly beans and enjoyed sharing them out!
(The total number in the jar was 418!)
