Cricket Success

On Monday 8^th June, Martham Primary School took part in the Year 5/6 Partnership Kwik Cricket Competition which was held at Halvergate Cricket Ground. They competed against children from several other local schools who all displayed developing cricketing skills and good sportsmanship. During the course of each match, the children all bowled an over and batted for two.

There were only three teams in the girl’s competition, so they played each other twice. Martham were undefeated and so qualified for the County Finals which will be held at Old Buckenham on Monday 29^th June.

 In the boy’s competition there were seven teams, Martham lost to only one of them, Cliff Park Junior, who were very strong and eventually the overall and deserved winners. Martham finished the competition in second place, a great achievement.
